Event Description

The Outer Banks Community Quilt Show returns to Roanoke Island Festival Park. The show takes place March 9-23 from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm in the Administrative Office's Event Room. Vintage and antique quilts of all sizes will be on display for visitors to admire. The show will include quilts made or owned by quilters from the area, and by those with close ties to the Outer Banks. A wide range of quilting techniques including quilting, embroidery, applique’, and other needlework and embellishments will also be showcased. 

Featured Displays & Activities

  • Rocka-bye Baby Display - Visit the back corner of the event room to view baby and children's themed quilts, toys and accessories
  • Small Quilt Challenge - Visitors can vote on their favorite small quilt. This year's theme is Sea Life, OBX Life at the Beach. 
  • Viewer's Choice - Visitors can also vote for their favorite full size quilt in the main event room 
  • Kids Scavenger Hunt - Kids that attend the show can join the Quilt Scavenger Hunt. Participates will search for a list of various objects to find in the quilts. 
  • Quilt Raffle - Enter to win this year's themed quilt, created by various quilters in the area. Tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5.

Monday - Friday: 9 am - 4 pm
Saturdays: 10 am - 4 pm 
Sundays: Closed

Opening Reception: March 8 from 6 - 8 pm
Vendor Day: March 16
Exhibition Drop Off: March 3 from 8 am - 5 pm
Artist Pickup Day:
March 25 from 9 am - 5 pm
