Independence Day Concert The Town of Manteo and Roanoke Island Festival Park are celebrating the Fourth of July with an Independence Day concert featuring The Deloreans and the 82nd Airborne Division Band & Chorus. The Independence Day concert is free and open to the public at Roanoke Island Festival Park’s scenic waterfront Pavilion. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the show kicks off at 5:15 p.m. with 80’s cover band, The Deloreans, presented by the Town of Manteo. Following The Deloreans, Roanoke Island Festival Park will host the 82nd Airborne Band & Chorus as they present a star-spangled salute to our country featuring patriotic music, beginning at 7:45 p.m. The concert will conclude with the Town of Manteo’s fireworks display over the waterfront at dusk. Event Details Concessions from Island Snowball and Fourth of July themed merchandise from the Museum Store will be available on-site. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair, blanket, or tarp to sit and enjoy the show. Those traveling by bike are asked to walk their bike while on the pavilion grounds. For everyone's safety, dogs, umbrellas, tents, personal fireworks, sparklers are not allowed. The Deloreans are known for their dynamic ‘80s costumes, unstoppable energy, and their ability to bring down the house every time. 82nd Airborne Division Band and Chorus The 82nd Airborne Division All-American Band & Chorus, stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, will perform the Fourth of July musical program, “Let Freedom Ring.” Their patriotic performance will feature rousing military marches, classic works for band, virtuosic solos, and patriotic to pop vocal sections from members of the band and chorus.
