Acrobats performing in the indoor theatre at Roanoke Island Festival ParkThe Outdoor Pavilion

The Outdoor Pavilion at Roanoke Island Festival Park is unmatched in its scenic beauty, modern technology and exciting entertainment. Roanoke Sound’s water surrounds the 3,800 square foot stage and provides a consistently charming backdrop for performances. The stage provides an excellent canvas for actors, musicians, singers, and other performers to showcase their art.

The stage, made from hardy Brazilian walnut will outlast the trials of Outer Banks weather and cedar shakes cover the sides and roof. Two giant sliding glass windows upstage provide protection from the wind for performers while the audience continues to enjoy the gorgeous view. There are two larger dressing rooms (with ample make-up lights) and two smaller ones, all with bathroom and shower. There is also a small office. The loading dock has been designed for easy off-loads.

All of these qualities combine to promise a delightful experience for both audience members and performers. The Pavilion at Roanoke Island Festival Park is a venue unmatched in its peaceful beauty, technological quality, and show-stopping entertainment.

The Indoor Theatre

The Indoor Theater at Roanoke Island Festival Park sets an intimate, comfortable mood. With 250 cushioned seats, carpeted floor, and beamed ceilings, the 3,150 square foot theatre welcomes guests for meetings and events year round. The lighting and sound equipment accommodates versatile shows of theatre, music, and dance and is also perfect for power point presentations, seminars and symposiums.

The Film system can show DVD and for those rare films we also have laser disk and Beta Cam players. The stage is 18 inches high by 30 feet across by 17 feet deep and features a full set of stage drapery with two curtains that open and close. The white back wall of the stage is our projection screen with a viewing area of 11 by 22 feet, enabling very large images.

We provide a Power Point projector, a lecture podium with state of the art sound system microphone and stage lighting. There is a laser pointer and a table for your laptop beside the podium for ease of operation during your speech. We offer a hand held microphone or clip-on lapel microphone. Additional microphones are available to pass among the audience.

The theatre’s lighting capabilities allow for the diversity in the shows that fill the stage and house lights can be dim or full brightness
