Full-Time Positions Education Coordinator - Full-Time The Historic Interpreter III will research and create new fee based educational programs for Roanoke Island Festival Park. The position should have considerable knowledge of how to develop, coordinate and implement programs that appeal to visitors of all ages. The position will also provide collaborative leadership in historic research and the dissemination of acquired knowledge and skills, the presentation of public educational programs throughout the facility, the innovative development and implementation of ongoing and new public programs and events and the proactive implementation of visitor experiences and interpretative standards and organizational expectations. The person in this position should have a working knowledge of NC history and be willing to dress in period costumes. This person should have a proven record of developing and implementing educational and fun programs for large groups. The position reports to the Manager of Education and interpretation. The person in this position must have the ability to practice effective communication in oral and written form and possess strong leadership and communication skills while working as a team. Apply Online Sales Supervisor - Full-Time This position is to provide responsible and highly skilled management in directing all day to day operations of Ticket Sales and Retail Sales at Roanoke Island Festival Park. This position provides contact, interaction and problem resolution to ticket buying customers and special admissions as well as assistance with tour groups. Daily duties and responsibilities include managing, training and scheduling of sales personnel, cash management, customer services and all other duties which may impact Ticket and Retail sales operation. Position must be familiar with inventory control procedures, administration of Purchase Orders and an understanding and knowledge of a Point of Sale system. The person in this position must also have the ability to display a large variety of merchandise such as gifts, apparel and books and manage a budget. The person in this position must be able to work holidays and weekends and some nights depending on events. The incumbent in this position must have excellent attention to detail skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, staff and site visitors along with great communication skills.
